Velomotion's Mike Smith heads to Retül HQ to master the art of bike fitting

Velomotion's resident bike fitter and renowned cyclist Mike Smith is leaving the UK to embark on a journey to reach the next level of bike fitting.

This week, Mike is leaving Milton Keynes to venture to Retül Headquarters in Boulder, Colorado, the premium place for bike fitters around the world.

Mike, who has worked for Velomotion since it's inception in 2009, will be working at Retül for the next few months and is hoping to learn some new tips and bike procedures to advance his skills and training.

As part of the All3Motion competition to win the chance to train with world-class triathlete Liz Blatchford, we had a chat with Liz last week to discuss her plans to focus on long-course triathlons, training advice and whether she can take over ChrissieWellington's place at the top of the triathlon ladder.

Craig Gibbons talks training, Velomotion and the Olympics

Craig Gibbons is going for gold at this year's Olympics. He's a qualified swim coach giving professional advice to those who seek to improve their swimming technique. As a swimmer Craig has competed at the highest level competing at the World Championships in Melbourne in 2006 and in Manchester in 2008 as well as competing at the European Championships in 2004, 2008 and 2009.

Tour de France preview - Who’s your favourite?

The 99th Tour de France takes place in just over a week’s time, where 22 teams and 180 riders compete for the ultimate prize in cycling: the yellow jersey.

With the absence of 2010 winner Andy Schleck, who had to withdraw from this year’s race because of injury, and a disqualified Alberto Contador who tested positive for banned substances, the number one spot is a huge talking point amongst cycling fans. 

Competition winner Sue talks about training with Liz Blatchford

Last month All3Motion launched a competition to win a chance to train with ITU triathlete Liz Blatchford in Milton Keynes. Sue McIntyre from Bishop Stortford was the lucky person chosen, and got the opportunity to speak to Liz about her training and receive some top advice from a world-class triathlete.

As well as learning from Liz, Sue, who is a student dietician at the University of Hertfordshire, also took part in a Gait Analysis at All3Motion to analyse her running style and how she can improve her technique.
